R&D
At Loire Gestamp we are firmly committed to Research and Development (R&D). We have consolidated our R&D department to specifically focus on addressing the optimisation and innovation of the stamping lines we manufacture, thereby making it a worldwide benchmark.
By working closely with our clients we are able to gain a clear overview of the lines of research to pursue in order to guarantee a high quality and innovative product and service which sets us apart from the competition and enables us to meet the demands of our customers.
The R&D department is made up of a multidisciplinary team of engineers with extensive knowledge in each one of the key areas to develop the next generation of stamping lines.
These are the main projects in which the R&D department operates:
- Energy Efficiency: Reduction of energy consumption.
- Capture and Analysis of Accelerations: Control of cutting process.
- Thermography: Quality control of parts and maintenance of dies.
- Monitoring: Real-time analysis of the lines. Preventive and predictive maintenance.
In addition to having access to the latest hardware and software tools on the market, the R&D department has a press in which new control strategies are tested, new sensors are evaluated or last cutting-edge technologies are validated before that it can be implemented into clients presses.
